We have never visited the place before but got to know that they have good non veg dishes. So for lunch, we ordered the Mutton Malvani. The quantity was quite good, the mutton was well cooked: not too tough and not too soft. Just right with a hint of a bite!
The gravy was very good, spice but not hot and tasted better that evening. Perfect for spooing up with some butter rotis or some piping hot rice!!
Will definitely order from here again!

We have been a big fan of mutton thalis and can travel great distance to devour it. Just by word of mouth , got to hear about the mutton malvani in Sagar restaurant. Ordered a portion and haven't stopped ever since. Its the most delicious mutton dish one would have tasted. Tenderly cooked , the right amount spice and just perfect with rice or roti. Yesterday was the 5th time I was ordering from here and the taste is always finger-licking good (infact each time has been better than the previous). The Tandoori and the chicken biryani were delicious too. My office colleagues have been raving about the food and this will be a place we will keep returning to , for our office / home dine-togethers.
A little mention about the owner. A young restaurateur who takes much care to understand your preference and is ever ready to customize the order. It is a refreshing experience to be able to talk to the owners and get exactly what you want. (Tip - Just go by his recommendation.You wont regret it ! ) . I ordered food from Hotel Sagar a month ago when I had few International travellers at work. My first interaction placing the order was with Sagar - an affable and extremely courteous person. He scheduled time to talk to me and was genuinely interested in determining our order. He heard me patiently as I explained my requirements, asked about the background of the guests and walked me through identifying the food to be ordered.
Our Menu: Mutton Malvani, Surmai Fry, Chicken Tandoori, Paneer Pasanda, Nan and Rice.
The Mutton Malvani was cooked in a thick gravy - mutton pieces were succulent and the gravy scrumptious. Fish was extremely fresh and well cooked in the coconut milk based gravy. The Paneer melted (literally) and not to forget the Chicken Tandoori which had a very special taste. The two items that stood out exceptionally well was the Mutton Malvani and the Chicken Tandoori - I've never ever had a sumptuous meal like this before. Our guests simply loved it and even said "This is what real Indian food is - splendid, beautiful!" and "I need to come back to eat this food and very soon".

Customer friendly: 5+ (out of 5) and the + is for the effort and personal interest Sagar took in not just prior to the Order but for following up to gather feedback later (not everyone does that). And not to forget Mr. Damodar (Hotel Manager) who came to deliver the order personally - absolutely polite and kind; he followed up too for feedback.
Well, there has been no stopping us since then - a few of my colleagues have been ordering Mutton Malvani and Chicken tandoori often. The quality & quantity of food has simply been consistent & amazing. The recent most Mutton Malvani that was ordered was even better than before. And, Sagar or Mr. Damodar have been very responsive and hospitable. Kudos!
